Navigating Life's Tangled Wires
Do you ever feel like your emotions and thoughts are as jumbled as the wires in this picture? Some days, no matter how hard you try, it seems impossible to reframe the negativity. I’ve been there too. Then there are the good days, when everything falls into place, and you feel like you're on top of the world—on that mountain where nothing and no one can bring you down. That glorious feeling of "I’m going to make it today."
But there are also days, weeks, even months when life feels overwhelmingly tangled. And I’m not alone—many of my clients feel the same way.
The Struggles of Work
I love my work, whether it’s procurement or life coaching. Both bring me immense satisfaction. In procurement, the thrill comes from sourcing the perfect product, working with factories, and seeing the project through to delivery. That moment when it’s on the ship and heading to the client? Pure satisfaction.
But let’s be real: it’s tough. Building business relationships over the years, spending months on a project, only to possibly not win the deal. So, how do I keep going despite all the ups and downs? Perseverance. Knowing when to push through and, sometimes after much thought, when it’s time to walk away. That balance has kept me grounded. Do I enjoy these struggles? Absolutely not. People often say, “It’s character building,” and sure, there’s some truth to that, but there are days when I wish for an easy path to closing a deal. Just close it, please!
Finding Support Amid the Chaos
Meditation, walking or any exercise you enjoy, healthy eating, and having even just a few close, trusted people in your corner have been my lifesavers. It’s not about the number of friends but the quality of support. The few who have stuck by me, even when they don’t fully understand what I’m doing, have provided unwavering encouragement. Being kind to yourself is the foundation of making it in life. That means asking for help when you need it. Never be afraid to reach out—it might seem strange or embarrassing, but trust me, an experienced Life Coach will never think your struggles are silly.
So, if you're feeling overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to, send me a message. I’m here, and I love collaborating with people from all walks of life. We can untangle those wires together.
Cheers, Christine K.
